NVS Advocacy Service

NVS Advocacy Service recruits, trains and supports volunteer Advocates. Advocates work in partnership alongside someone with a learning difficulty and speaks up on their behalf to:

  •    uphold their rights
  •    represent their feelings and wishes

NVS Advocacy Service supports people who live within a 12 mile radius of Thorpe St Andrew.

NVS Advocacy Service provides advocates for people with learning difficulties who are experiencing a significant change in their lifestyle through:

  •    moving to independence - whether from home or institutional settings
    or
  •    facing other life-changing situations following a Norfolk Learning Difficulty Services Review.

Advocates may be provided for up to 18 months.
